Keyodhoo is one of the inhabited islands of Vaavu Atoll. It is 0.500 km long and is 0.250 km wide and is 78.95 km (49 mi; 43 nmi) south of the countrys capital, Malé City. Keyodhoo is well known for a shipwreck which lies only a km away from it and is home to a wide array of underwater flora and fauna. It is home to a population of about 852 people. Although the local language is Dhivehi, many can also speak in English. The island has 5 hotels, 01 restaurant, 2 local shops, and 02 domestic transfer operators. It also has a health centre. However, the island does not have an ATM yet. Many young men who used to work in resorts before have now moved back to their home island, to work in booming guest house business. Keyodhoo used to be a popular fishing village. But today there are more guests fishing than the local fishermen. Keyodhoo also has sandbanks and uninhabited island in easy travel distance.
