Omadhoo is an inhabited island of Alif Dhaal (Southern Ari) Atoll. It is 0.950 km long and 0.300 km wide and is 73.96 km (46 mi; 40 nmi) from the country's capital, Malé City. Omadhoo features a flawless white sandy beach and a fascinating coral reef. It has a population of about 1088. Although the local language is Dhivehi, many can also speak in English. Omadhoo has 9 hotels, 3 restaurants, 4 shops, a diving center, and 2 domestic transfer operators. The island also has a health centre and a police station, however there is no ATM yet. The island is cleaned daily by its citizens and may be one of the only islands in Maldives that take actions for littering. Omadhoo even got an award for the cleanliest island of Maldives.
